Joyce is a Toronto based motion picture director and photographer. Her work is deeply personal, often dealing with love and nostalgia with multicultural themes interwoven in the surprisingly comedic narratives.
Her most recent film, Souvenirs from Asia won the "Outstanding Canadian Short Award" at the Reelworld film festival and has screened at festivals such as Worldwide Shorts, Hong Kong IFVA and San Francisco International Asian Film Festival. Her previous short, Banana Bruises won the Best Fiction Short Award at Cinesiege showcase and was programmed in the Closing Night Gala at the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival.
In 2008, she was selected to participate in the Berlinale Talent Campus, an international forum for emerging talent at the Berlinale International Film Festival.
